Fall Week

We are doing fall projects this week.  We started off the week on Sunday.  I took both boys on a fun fall walk and we did a nature scavenger hunt and collected leaves and acorns for our projects this week.

Sunday

We went to the nature park next to the lake in Etown for a quick walk in the woods and then some bonus water play.

Monday

Today Drake and I talked about the four seasons and made some fun animals out of some of the stuff that we found yesterday.

crayons... it was hard

next we made a little habitat for our animals so they could
sleep while Drake took a nap.

Tuesday

Drake wasn't into doing a project today.  We waited until Archer got home and then they were a little more excited about it.  We made coffee filter leaves.  The boys drew on the leaves and then we squirted them with water.

they were really very pretty.  I didn't take a picture of them up on the door.

Wednesday

Today we did our projects outside.  We did a shadow matching game, threaded some leaves, and did a matching game.

Thursday

Today we did two really cool projects.  First we made a pumpkin patch with some scrap fabric that I had.  Drake picked out pieces for the green field, the blue sky and the pumpkins.  We even made a little mouse that lived with the pumpkins.  You can see him if you look closely.  Then we made prints on cut out leaves using shaving cream and paint.  They turned out really well.

we then pressed the cut out leaves in the paint and pulled them out
we used a credit card to scrape the shaving cream off the paper

this is how they turned out.  They were so pretty.
